Players take the role of a slugcat separated from its family by a devastating flood, hunting for food and shelter in a ruined industrial world governed by a procedural creature ecosystem and deadly torrential rain cycles. Praised for its atmospheric alien world, emergent predator-prey AI, and uncompromising difficulty; massively expanded by the Downpour DLC (2023) with five new slugcat campaigns and local Jolly Co-Op for up to 4 players.
