Definition

Fortnite is Epic Games' building-mechanic battle royale, launched in 2017. Beyond BR, Fortnite hosts a creator economy (Creative 2.0, UEFN), live concerts, and movie events. The competitive scene rewards both mechanical aim and building speed. Fortnite's Zero Build mode (2022) made the title accessible to non-builders and grew the player base.
