Definition

Ratio is a generic term for any per-event statistic — K/D ratio, KDA ratio, ADR-to-deaths ratio, etc. Ratios are preferred over absolute counts because they normalize for match length and round count. "Ratio'd" in slang has a different meaning (Twitter culture: a reply with more likes than the original post), but in gaming stats it strictly means a per-event rate.

Example

"His K/D ratio is 1.4 — that's strong for ranked." The kills-per-death rate is favorable.
