tempo
MatchmakingDefinition
Tempo is the rate at which a team converts advantages into objectives, map pressure, or kills. High-tempo teams play actively and quickly — pushing waves, contesting jungle, taking neutral objectives. Low-tempo teams play patiently and scale. Tempo is a strategic decision: aggressive picks need high tempo, scaling picks prefer low tempo.
Example
"They have higher tempo — we need to slow the game down." The opposing team is taking objectives faster than the speaker's team can respond.
