Definition

An objective is a non-kill goal that wins the match or grants strategic advantages. In MOBAs: Baron, Dragon, Rift Herald, Roshan, lane towers, inhibitors, the Nexus. In Counter-Strike and Valorant: bomb plant or defuse. In Rainbow Six Siege: hostage, defusers, biohazards. Objective-focused play wins more than kill-focused play at every skill level.

Example

"Stop chasing kills — focus the objective." The shot-caller redirects the team from kill-hunting to capturing the strategic point.
