Definition

An ult is an ultimate ability — a powerful, long-cooldown skill that defines a hero or champion. In MOBAs the ult is unlocked at level 6; in hero shooters it builds via a charge meter. Ults often decide team fights: tracked ult economy is a core strategic skill, and "ult-tracking" is a casted-game commentary staple.

Example

"Their tank has ult — don't engage." The opposing tank's ultimate is up, so a team fight would favor them.
