Definition

Bo3 stands for Best of Three — a series format where the first team to win two games wins the series. Bo3 is the standard for competitive play, esports playoffs, and many ranked promo systems. Bo3 reduces variance versus single-game outcomes. "Bo5" (best of five) is the deeper format used in finals.

Example

"Bo3 finals tonight — series MVP gets a skin." The match format is the standard three-game series.
