GGWP

Definition

GGWP is the long form of GG, expanded to "good game, well played." It conveys greater appreciation than the bare GG and is commonly used after a competitive, evenly-matched game. The phrase originated alongside GG in late-1990s StarCraft and has been a staple of post-match chat since. "GGWP all" is a common variant addressed to both teams.

"GGWP — that was a tight match." Post-match acknowledgement that both teams played well.
