one-trick

Definition

A one-trick is a player who specializes in a single character or hero, often refusing to play anything else. One-tricks reach high mastery and unique playstyles, but their pickability is fragile (a single ban or pick from the enemy team can disable them). One-tricks are common in MOBAs ("Yasuo one-trick," "Dr. Mundo one-trick") and hero shooters.

Example

"He's a Yasuo one-trick — banned in 80% of his games." The opponent's specialization is leveraged via ban.
