Definition

Voice chat is real-time audio communication between players, used for coordination, comms, and social bonding. Voice chat is the default coordination medium in PC FPS and MOBA pro play. Most modern games include in-game voice, but Discord remains the dominant external voice platform because of cross-game persistence and superior quality controls.

Example

"Voice chat or it's not happening — solo queue without comms is brutal." The player insists on real-time audio for ranked play.
