Definition

An anchor is a defender who holds a single bombsite or area alone while teammates rotate or stack the other site. Anchoring requires utility usage, multikill ability, and willingness to play 1vN scenarios. The role is most defined in Counter-Strike and Valorant — Sentinel agents like Cypher, Killjoy, and Chamber are designed for it.

Example

"He's our B anchor on Bind — Killjoy lockdown." The player solo-holds B site with utility while teammates focus A.
