Definition

Sentinel is one of the four agent roles in Valorant. Sentinels are designed to lock down areas with traps, alarms, and area-denial utility. Examples include Killjoy, Cypher, Chamber, Sage, and Deadlock. Sentinels typically anchor sites on defense and watch flanks on attack, providing the team's information and area-control backbone.

Example

"Our sentinel set up turret and trip — B is locked." The player's traps and alarms cover the bombsite while teammates rotate.
