Definition

Controller is one of the four agent roles in Valorant. Controllers shape the map with smokes, walls, and area denial, enabling executes and disrupting defenses. Examples include Brimstone, Omen, Viper, Astra, Harbor, and Clove. Most teams require at least one controller for the core smoke utility.

Example

"He's our controller — Astra mains, calls all the smokes." The player handles the team's smoke deployment and map control.
