Definition

Bo5 stands for Best of Five — a series format where the first team to win three games wins. Bo5 is reserved for esports finals, major tournaments, and high-stakes scrims. Bo5 reduces variance further than Bo3 and is often considered the fairest format in skill expression. The CS Major Grand Final, LoL Worlds Finals, and Valorant Champions Final all use Bo5.
