Definition

A smurf account is the alt account a smurf plays on — typically created at low rank to roll over weaker opponents. Smurf accounts are detectable by ML-based smurf detection: low account age + high performance + paid skins on a "new" account is a flag. Smurf accounts have been a major matchmaking-quality concern for over two decades.

Example

"That's a smurf account — Iron with Diamond mechanics." The visible rank does not match the gameplay quality.
