support

Definition

Support is the catch-all label for any role focused on enabling teammates rather than dealing damage directly. Supports use heals, shields, buffs, vision, and utility. The role is explicit in MOBAs (LoL Support, Dota 2 hard support) and hero shooters (Overwatch Support category, Marvel Rivals Strategist), but the team-fight logic is similar everywhere.

Example

"I main support — Lulu, Janna, Soraka." The player specializes in champions whose kits enable teammates rather than dealing damage.
